Greater than 1,000 Animal Units
Follow this section to seek information and guidance relative to the rules and regulations for livestock operations that house more than 1,000 animal units. This tool allows you to investigate the laws and regulations that must be met in order to acquire a livestock environmental permit to operate a Concentrated Animal Feeding Facility. If you are considering an expansion of your current livestock operation to a number of animals greater than 1,000 animal units, be certain to know all of the laws and regulations that must be met prior to taking action. Failure to seek and secure the appropriate permits will lead to costly penalties.
